ORDINANCE NO. 2511 <br />AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST <br />CORNER OF HIGGINS AND ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROADS AND GRANTING A <br />VARIATION OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT CERTAIN FRONT YARD <br />SETBACK ENCROACHMENTS (MOBIL OIL CORPORATION) <br />WHEREAS, the Plan Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of <br />Elk Grove Village, at a joint meeting, duly called and held according to law, considered the ques- <br />tion of rezoning a parcel of property from the B-1 Business District to the B-3 Automotive Busi- <br />ness District and granting a variation for said property to permit a convenient store and a canopy <br />to encroach ten (10') feet and five (5') feet respectively into the twenty-five (25') foot setback on <br />property located at the Northeast corner of Higgins and Arlington Heights Roads; and <br />WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after having considered the recommen- <br />dation and finding of said Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals find and believe that it <br />is in the best interest of the Village that said property be rezoned and a variation granted thereto. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of <br />the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: <br />Section 1: That the parcel of property located at the Northeast corner of Higgins and <br />Arlington Heights Roads, which property is legally described on Exhibit A, attached hereto, be <br />rezoned from the B-1 Business District to the B-3 Automotive Business District. <br />Section 2: That there be granted a variation of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village as it <br />pertains to the twenty-five (25') foot front yard setback requirement to permit the construction of <br />a store and gas pump canopy which will encroach ten (10') feet and five (5') feet respectively into <br />said twenty-five (25') foot front yard setback. <br />
