ORDINANCE NO. 733 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6.304 <br />PARAGRAPH (C) OF THE ELK GROVE VILLAGE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and the Board <br />of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook <br />and DuPage, State of Illinois, as follows: <br />Section l: That Paragraph (C) of Section 6.304 of the <br />Municipal Code of Elk Grove Village be and is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br />"(c) Bulk storage of liquified petroleum gas referred to in <br />Section 21.6(a) of the Fire Prevention Code is hereby <br />prohibited, unless: <br />1. Said storage is in accordance with all requirements <br />of the latest issue of Pamphlet 58 of the National Fire Protection <br />Association, and provided, however, that an additional 50% in <br />pressure relief venting capabilities is provided in addition <br />to those possible by said pamphlet for the tanks used for <br />storing said liquified petroleum gas. <br />2. A security fence six (6') feet in height with <br />barbed wire above is constructed and provided around all such <br />tank installations, said fence shall be appropriately screened <br />from view. <br />3• The plans for said bulk storage and construction <br />are approved by the President and Board of Trustees as being safe <br />from fire hazards and inaccordance with the provisions hereof. <br />4. That no tanks be installed in the flood plain, <br />except when provided with devices capable of anchoring the <br />tank to prevent its going afloat under flood conditions.'' <br />5. That no transfilling operations be allowed except <br />that which is required from the mobile tank, truck or railroad <br />car to the stationary above -ground storage tank. <br />
