ORDINANCE NO. ´┐Żl <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CLOSED TELEVISION <br />INSPECTION OF SEWER MAINS IN CERTAIN CASES <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and <br />Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, <br />Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois: <br />Section 1: That Section 22A104 of the Municipal Code <br />of the Village of Elk Grove Village be supplemented by adding <br />thereto the following: <br />"Where soil conditions are unsound and not <br />sufficient to maintain sewer mains, including <br />sanitary and storm water, in the position <br />laid or where sewer mains are immersed in <br />water, inspection by closed circuit television <br />shall be required prior to approval and <br />acceptance of same by the Village. All costs <br />for said inspection shall be paid by the <br />developer. The Village Engineer shall deter- <br />mine the necessity for said type of inspection <br />in view of the above criteria and evaluate <br />the reports and photographs obtained thereby.. <br />If said photographs and evidence show the <br />sewer main to be free from engineering defect <br />and foreign substance and show that it meets <br />all other approved engineering standards, <br />the Village Engineer shall approve the mains <br />for acceptance by the Village. If not, he <br />shall direct such remedial activity as is <br />necessary to be done prior to the acceptance <br />of said mains. All photographs and reports <br />obtained as a result of said inspection shall <br />be the property of the Village of Elk Grove <br />Village." <br />
