ORDINANCE N0. 384 <br />AN ORDINANCE CALLING FOR A REGULAR ELECTION OF <br />OFFICERS OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, <br />ON TUESDAY, APRIL 20, 1965, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of <br />the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois: <br />Section 1. That there shall be a regular election of officers of the <br />Village of Elk Grove Village on Tuesday, April 20, 1965 <br />Section 2. That at said election there shall be elected: <br />a Village President <br />a Village Clerk <br />3 Village Trustees <br />each for a four-year term <br />1 Village Trustee <br />for a two-year term, and <br />2 Library Directors <br />each for a six-year term. <br />Section 3. That the ballot to be used in said election shall be in the <br />form prescribed by statute, and it shall be the duty of the Village Clerk to <br />see to the preparation of sufficient ballots for the election and to cause a <br />sample of said ballot to be published prior to the day of the election in the <br />Elk Grove Herald, a newspaper of general circulation published in said Village, <br />and to cause to be provided the necessary election supplies. <br />Section 4. That at least fifteen but not more than thirty days prior to <br />the election, the Village Clerk shall cause to be published in the Elk Grove <br />Herald a notice of election which shall be substantially as follows: <br />SEE ATTACHED - NOTICE OF ELECTION <br />Section 5. That the precincts or voting districts for said election and <br />the polling places shall be those designated in the preceding section. <br />Section 6. That the judges of election shall be appointed by the President <br />with the approval of the Board of Trustees in the manner provided for by law. <br />Section 7. That said election and all matters pertaining thereto shall be <br />conducted in the manner prescribed by the Statutes of the State of Illinois. <br />Section 8. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br />after its passage and approval according to law. <br />PASSED this 28th day of January , 1965. <br />APPROVED this 28th day of January , 1965. <br />James R.
