ORDINANCE NO. 162 <br />AN ORDINA14CE PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION FOR A RECREATION <br />PROGRAM FOR THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE <br />WHEREAS, at least ten percent of the electors of the Village of <br />Elk Grove Village have filed with the Village Clerk a petition requesting <br />that the Village of Elk Grove Village establish, maintain and conduct a <br />supervised playground and recreation system for a period of two years com— <br />mencing April 18, 1961 and ending April 18, 1963, provided no special tax <br />shall be levied for said purpose; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by tkn President and the Board of <br />Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois: <br />Section 1 That a special election shall be held on Tuesday, <br />April 18, T9blT"FeTween the hours of 6:00 o'clock a.m. and 6:CO p.m. Central <br />Standard Time, and simultaneously with the general election to be held on <br />said date, on thefollowing question: "Shall the Village of Elk Grove Village <br />establish, maintain and conduct a supervised playground and recreation system <br />for a period of two years commencing April 18, 1961, and ending April 18, <br />19630 provided no special tax shall be levied for said purpose?" <br />Section 2 For the purpose of said election the Village of Elk <br />Grove Village shall be divided into three election precincts; that the pre— <br />cincts and polling places shall be the same as those set forth in Ordinance <br />No. 161; that the judges of election shall be the same persons as have been <br />designated as judges of election by the President and Doard of Trustees in <br />Ordinance No. 161. <br />Section 3 That the Village Clerk is hereby ordered and directed <br />to cause notice of said election to be given by publishing notice thereof <br />once in the Elk Grove Herald, a newspaper of general circulation published <br />within the Village of Elk Grove Village, and by posting notice thereof in <br />at least three prominent places in each election precinct; said publication <br />and posting shall be not more than thirty nor less than fifteen days prior <br />to Tuesday..
