Section 22.1304 FEES, INSPECTION OF PLANS, ETC. The application for the permit <br />required by this article shall be made to the Building Inspector and he shall within <br />fifteen days from the receipt of such application inspect or cause to be inspected <br />the site of such contemplated construction, erection, or installation, and he shall <br />ascertain whether such contemplated construction complies with all zoning crdi.nances, <br />building ordinances, and fire ordinances of the Village. In the event said appli- <br />cations, plans and specifications and contents conform to this article and the <br />zoning ordinances, building ordinances, and fire ordinances of the Village said <br />Building Inspector shall grant the permit requested provided, however, that such <br />permit shall not become valid until the applicant has paid to the village an <br />inspection fee of one hundred twenty-five dollars and until said permit is counter- <br />signed by the Village Clerk. <br />Section 22.1305. INSPECTION DURING CONSTRUCTION. It shall be the duty of the <br />Building Inspector to inspect such premises for which a permit is granted during the <br />course of construction arra said Building Inspector shall have full authority to <br />order construction stopped in all cases where the construction is not in accordance <br />with the plans or specifications as approved by the Building Committee. <br />Section 22.1306 SALE OF GASOLINE AT RETAIL IN PORTABLE CONTAINERS PROHIBITED. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to sell motor fuel at <br />retail from any gasoline buggy or other vehicle equipped with a tank (the tank <br />in which motor fuel is carried for the operation of said vehicle being excepted) <br />having a capacity greater than five gallons or containing separate container or <br />containers in the aggregate, more than five gallons. <br />Section 22.1307 EXISTING STATIONS. The provisions of the preceding section of <br />this article, excepting those regarding gasoline buggies and other portable con- <br />tainers, shall not affect any existing gasoline service stations or storage tank <br />installations in actual operation or use on the day of the enactment of this <br />article, provided, however, that when any such service station or tank installation <br />shall not have been used or shall have been abandoned for a period of six months or <br />more after this article becomes effective, the same procedure and requirements of <br />this article as applicable to new stations or new tank installations shall apply <br />before such abandoned stations or storage tank can be reoccupied or used for the <br />sale or storage of motor fuel. <br />Section 22.1308 LICENSE REQUIRED. It shall be unlawful to conduct or operate a <br />service station without having first obtained a license therefor, The annual fee <br />for such license shall be ten dollars for each pump operated. <br />Section 22.1309 NON -BUSINESS SERVICE STATIONS. Argy person, firm or corporation <br />maintaining or operating any storage tank for gasoline for the use of automobiles <br />of the owner, lessee, employees, or agents of such person, firm or corporation <br />shall comply with all of the provisions of this article other than the requirement <br />for the payment of a fee. <br />Section 2. Any and all ordinances of the Village of Elk Grove Village in conflict <br />herewith are hereby repealed. <br />Section 3. PENALTY. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this <br />article shall be fined not less than five dollars nor more than two hundred dollars <br />for each offense; and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during <br />or on which a violation occurs or continues. <br />Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage, <br />approval and publication according to law. <br />PASSED and APPROVED this 24th day of July, 1961. <br />s/ James R.
