ORDINANCE N0. 138 <br />AN CHDINANCE ANNEXING A FOUR ACRE TRACT BORDERED BY LANDMElER <br />ROAD ON THE SOUTH AND THE C%kIONWEALTH EDISON HIGHLINE ON THE <br />WEST AND NORTH, VILLAGE OWNED PROFERTY, TO THE VILLAGE OF <br />ELIC GROVE VILLAGE <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, I111nois, by <br />virtue of a deed dated July 8, 1960 from the Great Northern Development Co., <br />a Delaware Corporation, to the Village of Elk Grove Village, a municipal <br />corporation, became and is the sole owner of record of the following des- <br />cribed land and territory, towit: <br />That part of the West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter <br />of Section 270 Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal <br />Meridian lying West of the West line of the East 167.33 feet of said West <br />half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 27 <br />and lying North of the center line of Landmeier Road and lying South and <br />East of the following described lines: Beginning at a point in the East line <br />of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter which is <br />436.98 feet South of the Northeast corner thereof; thence Southwesterly along <br />a line drawn from said point to a point in the East line of the West 105 feet <br />of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter which is <br />970.32 feet South of the North line of said West half of the Southwest quar- <br />ter of the Northwest quarter and 194.34 feet North of intersection of said <br />East line of the West 105 feet and the center line of said Landmeier Road, a <br />distance of 780.70 feet; thence South along a line 105 feet East of and paral- <br />lel to the West line of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the North= <br />west quarter, a distance of 194.34 feet to the center line of Landmeier Road& <br />situated in the County of Cook, in the State of Illinois; <br />which property is a four -acre tract bordered by Landmeier Road on the South <br />and the Commonwealth Edison highline on the West and North; and <br />WHEREAS, said property is uninhabited and has no electors residing <br />thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, said property is not within the corporate limits of aw <br />municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village; and <br />WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of this Village <br />believe it to be to the best interest of the municipality that such terri- <br />tory be annex ad thereto. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT LtDAINED by the President and Board of <br />Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois: <br />Section 1 That land and territory described as follows: <br />That part of the West half of the Southwest quarter of the ljorthwest quarter <br />of Section 27, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal <br />Meridian lying West of the West line of the East 167.33 feet of said West <br />half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 27 <br />and lying North of the center line of Landmeier Road and lying South and East <br />of the following described lines: Beginning at a point in the East line of <br />said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter which is <br />106.98 feet South of the Northeast corner thereof; thence Southwesterly <br />along a line drawn from said point to a point in the East line of the West <br />105 feet of said West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter <br />which is 970.32 feet South of the North line of said West half of the South- <br />west quarter of the Northwest quarter and 194.34 feet North of Intersection <br />of said East line of the west 105 feet and the center line of said La:dmaier <br />
