Ordinance No. 80 <br />AN ORDINANCE amending the Village <br />of Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance. <br />WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk Grove Village, <br />sitting as a commission, at a public meeting duly called and held according to <br />law considered the question of amending sub -section (f) of Section 1 of ARTICLE <br />XV; and <br />WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, having considered the re- <br />commendation of said Zoning Board of Appeals find and believe that the public <br />welfare and interest will be best served by such amendment; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of <br />the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois: <br />Section 1. That sub -section (f) of Section 1 of Article XV of an Ordinance <br />entitled "An Ordinance to regulate, and limit the height and bulk of buildings; <br />to regulate and limit the intensity of the use of lot areas, and to regulate and <br />determine the areas of open spaces within and surrounding such buildings; to <br />classify, regulate and restrict the location of trades and industries and the <br />location of buildings designed for specified industrial, business, residential <br />and other uses; to divide the entire Village of Elk Grove Village into districts <br />for the purpose of this ordinance; to fix standards to which buildings or structures <br />shall conform; to prohibit uses, buildings or structures incompatible with the <br />character of such districts respectively; and to prevent additions to and alterations <br />or remodeling of existing buildings or structures in such a way as to avoid the <br />restrictions and limitations lawfully imposed hereunder, and to provide penalties <br />for violation hereof" passed and approved July 8, 1957, known as Ordinance No. 20, <br />as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows: <br />(f) Fences, regardless of material used may be erected to a <br />height of four (4) feet along the boundaries of a lot except <br />that no such fence shall be erected within twenty-five (25) <br />feet of a street intersection; provided, however, that a <br />fence may be constructed to a height not exceeding six (6) <br />feet with the consents of the adjoining owners and the <br />Building Department. Fences in the Business and Industrial <br />Districts shall be in accordance with the provisions of the <br />Village Building Code and particularly Section 400 thereof <br />relating to restrictions and construction within the fire <br />limits. <br />Section 2.
