RESOLUTION NO. 16-89 <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ENHANCED <br />9-1-1 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SERVICE IN THE VILLAGE OF <br />ELK GROVE VILLAGE <br />WHEREAS, the Northwest Central Dispatch System was established to <br />provide radio and telephone communications among the citizenry, police, <br />fire and emergency medical services personnel; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village, Buffalo Grove, Arlington <br />Heights, and Mount Prospect have participated in the Northwest Central <br />Dispatch System since 1972; and <br />WHEREAS, the Northwest Central Dispatch System has recommended the <br />establishment of an Enhanced 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System; and <br />WHEREAS, an Enhanced 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System will save lives <br />and improve the delivery of Public Safety Services to the residents of Elk <br />Grove Village; and <br />WHEREAS, the elected representatives of the people of Elk Grove <br />Village authorized a referendum to establish an Enhanced 9-1-1 Emergency <br />Telephone System in the Village of Elk Grove Village; and <br />WHEREAS, the referendum question will be decided on election day, <br />April 4, 1989. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees <br />of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois <br />as follows: <br />Section 1: That all registered voters of the Village of Elk Grove <br />are urged to vote on April 4, 1989 to establish Enhanced 9-1-1 <br />Telephone Service for our Village. <br />Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect <br />from and after its passage and approval according to law. <br />VOTE: AYE: 6 <br />PASSED this 28th <br />APPROVED this 28th <br />ATTEST: <br />Patricia S.
