RESOLUTION NO. 1-88 <br />A RESOLUTION DIRECTED TO THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, <br />COOK COUNTY BOARD OF APPEALS, AND THE COUNTY CLERK FOR TRANS- <br />MITTAL TO COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS PROTESTING THE RE- <br />ZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF MEACHAM ROAD <br />APPROXIMATELY 1100 FEET SOUTH OF BIESTERFIELD ROAD <br />WHEREAS, the petitioner and owner, First State Bank and Trust Company <br />of Hanover Park, of the property legally described as follows: <br />The West 420.57 ft. of North 98.00 ft. of South <br />178.00 ft. of North 37.5 acres of West 75 acres <br />of East 1/2 of Northwest 1/4 of Section 36, T41N, <br />RIO, East of the Third Principal Meridian. <br />have petitioned for a map amendment to rezone from R-5 Single Family <br />Residential District to C-2 Restricted Office District for Professional <br />Offices, <br />WHEREAS, said case has been docketed as Docket Number 4812 by the Cook <br />County Zoning Board of Appeals: and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is contiguous to this <br />property on the West side. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of <br />Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and <br />Du Page, State of Illinois as follows: <br />Section 1: That the Village of Elk Grove Village does hereby <br />register objection to the petitioner's request for the rezoning of the <br />subject property described above for the following reasons: <br />a. The Elk Grove Village Comprehensive Plan and Official Map <br />adopted on October 22, 1968 and duly filed with the Cook <br />County Clerk declares said land to be within our future <br />annexation plans and for it to be within the corporate <br />limits of Elk Grove Village, with a R-3 Zoning Class- <br />ification. The proposed commercial use is inconsistent <br />with the Official Map. <br />b. The C-2 Restricted Office District would permit, drug <br />stores and pharmacies, restaurants, including the serving <br />of alcoholic beverages. Service uses such as parking lots, <br />Savings and Loans, Banks. Office Uses such as Doctors <br />Offices, Medical and Dental Clinics, Employment Offices <br />and many other intensive and high traffic uses. <br />c. That the Cook County Comprehensive Land Use and Policies <br />Plan (adopted in 1976 and with 1984 revisions) shows this <br />and the properties abutting it on the North, East and <br />South sides as Single Family Residential. <br />d. That the best and most suitable use of the property is <br />that of Single Family Residential Use; that the Village <br />therefore requests the denial of the application. <br />Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect <br />from and after its passage and approval according to law. <br />
