RESOLUTION NO. 2-88 <br />A RESOLUTION DIRECTED TO THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, <br />COOK COUNTY BOARD OF APPEALS, AND THE COUNTY CLERK FOR TRANSMITTAL <br />TO COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS PROTESTING THE REZONING OF <br />PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF MEACHAM ROAD APPROXIMATELY <br />1270 FEET SOUTH OF BIESTERFIELD ROAD <br />WHEREAS, the petitioners and owners, Rose Walshin and Francine <br />Chaulousky of the property legally described as follows: <br />The East 370.57 ft. of West 420.57 ft. of South <br />80.0 ft. of South 178.00 ft. of North 37.5 acres <br />of West 75 acres of East 1/2 of Northwest 1/4 <br />of Section 36, T41N, RIO, East of the Third <br />Principal Meridian. <br />have petitioned for rezoning of same from R-5 Single Family Residential <br />District to a Special Use in the R-5, Single Family District to permit an <br />on -premise real estate office. <br />WHEREAS, said case has been docketed as Docket Number 4817 by the <br />Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is contiguous to this <br />property on the West side. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees <br />of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State <br />of Illinois as follows: <br />Section 1: That the Village of Elk Grove Village does hereby <br />register objection to the petitioner's request for the rezoning of the <br />subject property described above for the following reasons: <br />a. The Elk Grove Village Comprehensive Plan and Official Map <br />adopted October 22, 1968 and duly filed with the Cook <br />County Clerk declares said land to be within our future <br />annexation plans and for it to be within the corporate <br />limits of Elk Grove Village, with a R-3 Zoning Class- <br />ification. The proposed Special Use is inconsistent <br />with the Official Map. <br />b. That the Cook County Comprehensive Land Use and Policies <br />Plan (adopted in 1976 and with 1984 revisions) shows this <br />and the properties abutting it on the North, East and <br />South sides as Single Family Residential. The property <br />on the South is used for a church a permitted use in <br />R-5 Single Family. <br />c. That the best and most suitable use of the property is <br />that of Single Family Residential, not commercial use <br />for offices as requested; that the Village therefore <br />requests the denial of the application. <br />Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect <br />from and after its passage and approval according to law. <br />Section 3: That the Village Clerk's Office is hereby directed to <br />submit the foregoing Resolution to all governmental bodies that have <br />
