RESOLUTION NO 19-77 <br />A RESOLUTION URGING THE APPOINTMENT OF WILLIAM GRIFFITH TO THE OFFICE <br />OF TRUSTEE OF THE METROPOLITAN SANITARY DISTRICT OF GREATER CHICAGO <br />WHEREAS, a vacancy has occurred in the office of Trustee of the Metropolitan <br />Sanitary District of Greater Chicago, which vacancy under the laws of the State <br />of Illinois will be filled by Gubernatorial appointment; and <br />WHEREAS, William Griffith, a resident of Arlington Heights, Illinois, is <br />eminently qualified to serve in the office of Trustee of the Metropolitan <br />Sanitary District of Greater Chicago; and <br />WHEREAS, William Griffith, because of his background, experience and know- <br />ledge of the northwest suburban area of Cook County and its special problems and <br />needs relative to matters under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Sanitary <br />District of Greater Chicago would fairly, ably and responsibly represent the <br />interests of said area; and <br />WHEREAS, the residents of the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater <br />Chicago would be well served and fortunate to have a person of the qualifications <br />of William Griffith as Trustee of the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater <br />Chicago; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of <br />the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage?- Illinois, that <br />Governor James R. Thompson be urged to appoint William Griffith to the -office <br />of the Trustee of the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that suitable copies of this resolution be sent <br />to The Honorable ,James R. Thompson, Governor of the State of Illinois. <br />Section 1.
