RESOLUTION NO. 19-76 <br />A RESOLUTION DIRECTED TO THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, <br />COOK COUNTY BOARD OF APPEALS AND THE COUNTY CLERK, FOR TRANSMITTAL <br />TO THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS PROTESTING THE PETITION <br />FOR RE -ZONING PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF OAKTON STREET <br />AND EAST OF THE VILLAGE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE <br />WHEREAS, the Petitioners and Owners, John and George Gullo, of the <br />property legally described as follows: <br />The East 100 feet of the West 514.16 feet as measured on the <br />south line thereof, of the South 950 feet of the following <br />described tract of land: That part of the West half of the <br />Southwest quarter of Section 22, Township 41 North, Range 11, <br />East of the Third Principal Meridian, beginning at a post <br />at the Southwest corner of said West half: Thence East 9.76 <br />chains to a post; Thence North 27.85 chains to post in the <br />center of road; thence North 810 West, 9.81 chains to post <br />at corner of land owned by H. Scharinghausen on the West <br />line of said West half thence South 29.31 chains to the point <br />of beginning. ALSO: <br />The South 950 feet (except the West 514.16 feet as measured <br />on the South line thereof) of the above described tract of <br />land aforesaid. ALSO: <br />The East 184.16 feet of the West 414.16 feet (as measured <br />on the South line thereof) of the South 950.0 feet of the <br />above described tract of land aforesaid and in all consisting <br />of approximatley 9 acres. <br />have petitioned for re -zoning of same from R-5 Single Family Resident <br />District to -1-1 Restricted Industrial District, to permit the construction <br />of Six (6) industrial type buildings; and <br />WHEREAS, said case has been docketed as Docket Number 2705 by the Cook <br />County Zoning Board of Appeals; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is contiguous to this property <br />on the West and South sides. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of <br />the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois. <br />Section 1. That the Village of Elk Grove Village does hereby register <br />objections to the petitioner's request for the re -zoning of the subject prop- <br />erty described above for the following reasons: <br />a. The Elk Grove Village Comprehensive Plan and Official Map adopted <br />On October 22, 1968 and duly filed with the Cook County Clerk declares said <br />land to be within our future annexation plans and for it to be within the <br />corporate limits of Elk Grove Village. <br />b. If developed as an unincorporated area, it would not be adequately <br />served by essential urban services such as Police protection, Fire protection, <br />Ambulance service, Water supply and Street services. <br />
