Page 2 <br /> The Commission was updated on the status of ICRC projects: <br /> • DEVON AVENUE AND TONNE ROAD INTERSECTION <br /> The final surface course for the roadway is being placed this week, and traffic <br /> signs and pavement markings will be completed next week. The traffic signal <br /> and roadway lighting installations will not be completed until late November <br /> due to delays in ComEd pole relocations. <br /> • LIVELY BOULEVARD— TOUHY AVENUE TO DEVON AVENUE <br /> Crews from Central Illinois Railroad have begun the reconstruction of the rail <br /> crossing along Lively Boulevard from Devon Avenue to Touhy Avenue. The <br /> Arthur Avenue and Pratt Boulevard crossing have been completed. A total of <br /> six crossings will be reconstructed. <br /> Contract plans have been finalized and right-of-way acquisition is underway <br /> for the reconstruction of Lively Boulevard. The project is scheduled for a <br /> January or March 2007 letting.: Construction would be completed in one <br /> season. <br /> • DEVON AVENUE AND ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD INTERSECTION <br /> The preliminary geometric design has been completed for the intersection <br /> improvement. The proposed plan provides for dual left tum lanes on <br /> Arlington Heights Road, and the addition of right tum lanes on all legs of the <br /> intersection. A public meeting for the project will be held on November 9, <br /> 2006 following the State's approval of the project design report. Construction <br /> is targeted for Spring 2008. <br /> • BUS SHELTER IMPROVEMENTS <br /> Contract plans are being developed for the installation of ten (10) new bus <br /> shelters within the Business Park. The locations are along Higgins Road at <br /> the northeast comer of King Street, northeast comer of Martin Lane, and <br /> southeast corner of Lively Boulevard, and on Devon Avenue at the northwest <br /> and southwest comers of Arthur Avenue, northeast and southeast comers of <br /> Lively Boulevard, north side of Devon Avenue west of Busse Road, and the <br /> northwest and southwest comers of Delta Lane. The project is scheduled for <br /> a March 2007 letting and is funded at a 70 percent level through the State's <br /> Traffic Control Measure program. <br /> • BUSSE ROAD LIGHTING <br /> Federal funding for the project has been approved and the design of an <br /> arterial lighting system from Mark Street to Howard Street has begun. The <br /> project will be implemented in sections as funding becomes available. <br />
