i <br /> { • <br /> MINUTES <br /> Elk Grove Village Plan Commission <br /> September 19, 1979 <br /> The regular meeting of the Plan Commission was called to order by <br /> Chairman Kenna at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 1979, in the <br /> Multi-Purpose Room of the Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: MEMBERS ABSENT: <br /> Edward W. Kenna, Jr. , Chm. Donna O. Farley <br /> Leah Cummins, Secretary <br /> Frederick C. Geinosky STAFF PRESENT: <br /> John R. Glass Stephen M. Feller, <br /> George E. Mullen Administrative Assistant <br /> Orrin J. Stangeland <br /> Bolger Landscaping and Screening Plan <br /> Kenna began the discussion by relating that at the meeting on <br /> March 21, 1979, the Plan Commission recommended approval of the Bolger <br /> landscaping and screening plan subject to the provision of an acceptable <br /> surface for the center island located in the parking area. <br /> Terrence Bolger, Realtor, was present to represent the petitioner. <br /> Bolger proposed that the center island be sodded, and that after a <br /> period of 4-6 weeks, those areas which have been heavily travelled <br /> would be paved with an exposed aggregate material. The consensus of <br /> the Plan Commission was to accept Bolger's proposal. <br /> Calkins Petition for Rezoning ' <br /> Kenna noted that he would schedule a _P.ublic Hearing for October 17, <br /> 1979 on the petition of Robert P. Calkins for rezoning of a 6/10 acre <br /> lot located on the south side of Landmeier Road from I-Z to B-3. <br /> Geinosky expressed concern over the potential traffic problem <br /> which would be created as a result of the rezoning, and confirmed that <br /> the operating departments would review the rezoning request. <br /> Review of Zoning Ordinance <br /> Kenna announced the formation of a subcommittee to review the <br /> Zoning Ordinance and make recommendations on how it could be better <br /> organized. He then appointed Geinosky as Chairman of the subcommittee, <br /> with members to include Stangeland and Farley. Geinosky commented <br /> that the subcommittee would have a preliminary report prepared by <br /> December 1, 1979. <br /> Comprehensive Master Plan <br /> Kenna stated that the proposals to "update" the Comprehensive <br />
