Minutes <br /> Elk Grove Village Plan Commission <br /> October 18, 1978 <br /> The regular meeting of the Plan Commission was. called to order by Acting <br /> Chairman Hauser at 8: 10 p.m. on Wednesday', October 18, 1978 in the Multi- <br /> Purpose Room of the Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: MEMBER ABSENT: <br /> Edward Hauser, Acting Chairman Leah Cummins , Secretary <br /> John Glass <br /> George Mullen STAFF PRESENT: <br /> James Petri Richard M. Finn, <br /> Orrin Stangeland Administrative Assistant <br /> STAPE Subdivision <br /> Frank R. STAPE Builder, Inc. , purchase contractor of the 120 acre <br /> Schmidt Farm, was seeking approval of the final plat of subdivision. <br /> The subject property is located north of Nerge Road, east of Plum <br /> Grove Road and south of Section 23. <br /> Hauser began the discussion by noting that the STAPE Builder had <br /> resubmitted a revised final plat of subdivision for the 120 acre Schmidt <br /> Farm. Hauser also noted that the petitioner had submitted a letter <br /> detailing the changes that were made from the preliminary plan. <br /> Hauser continued by noting that the revised plat of subdivision <br /> had been approved by the Building Department and the Village Engineer. <br /> At that point the Plan Commission members reviewed the revised plat of <br /> subdivision. <br /> Joseph Hanlon, representing the petitioner, stated that the revised <br /> plat of subdivision had been reduced by two lots . He noted that with <br /> the reduction there was now 406 building lots . He further stated that <br /> the detention area was back to the original slope and the original park <br /> area that was shown on the preliminary plat was now reflected on the <br /> final plat of subdivision. <br /> Hauser asked what the petitioner's plans were for improving the <br /> property. Hanlon responded by stating that it was the petitioner's <br /> intent to totally improve the subdivision before June 1 , 1979. At that <br /> time, the petitioner would develop approximately 100 lots and sell the <br /> remainder of the lots to other developers in blocks of one hundred. <br /> At that point, Glass moved to recommend approval of the revised <br /> preliminary plat of subdivision, dated October 12, 1978. Petri seconded <br /> the motion. Stangeland stated that he wished to publicly acknowledge the <br /> cooperation of the developer in effecting several major changes . All <br /> present voted "Aye". <br /> Higgins Industrial Park Un•i,t- No.-179 <br /> Hauser noted that the Engineering and Building Departments had <br /> reviewed and approved Higgins Industrial Park Unit No. 179. Mullen <br /> made a motion to recommend approval of the plat. Petri seconded the <br /> motion. All present voted "Aye". <br />
