MINUTES <br /> REGULAR PLAN COMMISSION MEETING <br /> October 19, 1972 <br /> Members Present: Chairman William Shannon; Messrs. Mead Killion, Al Krasnow, <br /> Richard Pottker, Charles Siewert, Richard Sorenson; Secretary <br /> Leah Cummins. <br /> Others Present: The Honorable Trustee Nanci Vanderweel , Mr. Thomas Rettenbacher <br /> representing Administration; Mr. Howard Krafsur, Mr. Robert <br /> Calkins; Mrs. Cathy Duoba representing the Elk Grove Housing <br /> Commission and Mrs. Joan Marsh representing an interested <br /> citizen; Mr. Lew Handler, Mr. Richard Kobus his attorney, and <br /> his architect, Mr. Markson. <br /> Upsetting a long-term precedent, the Chairman called the meeting to order on <br /> time, that is to say at 8: 10 P.M. <br /> 1 . New Business: <br /> A. The Plan Commission, sitting as a Zoning Board, conducted a public <br /> hearing identified in the public record as Docket 72-9 calling for <br /> rezoning from M-1 light industrial to B-1 business for construction <br /> of an indoor recreation facility at Howard Street and Busse Road, <br /> comprising approximately three (3) acres of land. A complete record <br /> is on file in the Village Clerk's office. <br /> B. Reconvening as a Plan Commission at 9:00 P.M. , the members reviewed <br /> the preliminary and final plat of Higgins Industrial Park Unit No. 100, <br /> which was approved on motion by Mr. Siewert, seconded by Mr. Krasnow, <br /> and affirmed by all present. <br /> C. Higgins Industrial Park Unit No. 101 . It was moved by Krasnow, seconded <br /> by Cummins that this preliminary and final plat be approved. All present <br /> voted AYE. <br /> D. Centex Industrial Park Unit No. 173. It was moved by Killion, seconded <br /> by Cummins that the preliminary and final of this plat be approved. All <br /> members present voted AYE. <br /> F. Higgins Industrial Park Unit No. 104. It was moved by Sorenson, seconded <br /> by Siewert that this plat be approved. All members present voted AYE. <br /> G. Higgins Industrial Park Unit No. 103. It was moved by Krasnow, seconded <br /> by Killian that this plat be approved. All members present voted AYE. <br /> E. Carol Place Plat of Vacation. Discussion between Commission members and <br /> Mr. Calkins revealed some misunderstanding of the width of property <br /> available for a walkway and bicycle path. Additional time is needed to <br /> consider this matter. <br /> 2. Minutes of the meeting of October 5, 1972 were read by the Secretary, enjoyed <br /> by the members, and probably will be censored by the Village Manager before <br />
