40 <br /> Minutes <br /> ELK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> October 3, 1974 <br /> The Prince of Peace Methodist Church- Public Hearing was called <br /> to order by Chairman McGrenera at 8:09 P.M. on Thursday, October 3, 1974 <br /> in the Council Chamber of the Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Richard McGrenera <br /> Marcus Grice <br /> Leah Cummins <br /> Joseph Cimino <br /> Edward Hauser <br /> William Wesley <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT: Thomas Hamilton <br /> Alvin Krasnow <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Thomas Rettenbacher, Building Commissioner <br /> Gary Parrin, Administrative Intern <br /> The Chairman of the Board of the Prince of Peace Methodist <br /> Church presented his request for a special use permit to conduct a <br /> non-profit preschool . The preschool would be administered by Britannica <br /> (an affiliate of Encyclopedia Britannica) , a profit-making organization, <br /> and will pay rent to the Prince of Peace Church for use of their <br /> facilities . <br /> The special use permit was requested to be in effect until <br /> dealings between Britannica and Prince of Peace Church might be severed. <br /> In addition, Britannica has surveyed the area prior to their petition <br /> to determine need and the market for a preschool . The facilities at <br /> the Church will meet all requirements for safety of the children. <br /> The Public Hearing was adjourned at 8:33 P.M. At that time <br /> Cimino made a motion, seconded by Cummins , that the petition be granted <br /> contingent upon letters of approval from the State Fire Marshal and <br /> all involved Village Departments . <br /> All Commissioners voted to grant the petition and that it be <br /> presented to the Village Board for approval . <br /> Centex Industrial Park Unit No. 191 <br /> After the Public Hearing the Plan Commission reconvened in <br /> the Staff Conference Room. <br /> Cummins moved approval of Centex Industrial Park Unit No. 191 . <br /> Grice seconded the motion. All present voted aye. <br />
