Minutes <br /> Elk Grove Village Plan Commission <br /> July 2, 1974 <br /> The regular meeting of the Elk Grove Village Plan Commission was <br /> called to order by Chairman McGrenera at 8: 17 P.M. on Tuesday, July 2, <br /> 1974 in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Municipal Building, 901 Wellington <br /> Avenue. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Richard McGrenera Alvin Krasnow <br /> Thomas Hamilton Joseph Cimino <br /> Leah Cummins William Wesley <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Thomas Rettenbacher, Building Commissioner <br /> Gary Parrin, Administrative Intern <br /> Senior Citizen's Housing <br /> The first order of business was approval of the Senior Citizen's <br /> Housing Final Plan Development Plat. Upon information from Building <br /> Commissioner Rettenbacher that the plat is complete, it was moved by <br /> Cummins , seconded by Krasnow that the plat be accepted. Five members <br /> voted aye, one abstention (Wesley) . <br /> Winterling Village - Informal Meeting <br /> Mr. Ted Pecora, accompanied by his architect, presented a set of <br /> plans to the Commission requesting A-2 and B-3 zoning for his property <br /> located south of Higgins Road and east of Wildwood Road. Also present <br /> at this time were eight residents to voice their opinion on Mr. Pecora's <br /> concept. <br /> Following two hours of discussion, no direction for Mr. Pecora <br /> could be decided upon. The Commission will discuss this matter on <br /> July 18th at the regular meeting of the Plan Commission. At that <br /> time the Commission will render a decision as to whether the plan is <br /> or is not acceptable with A-2 and B-3 zoning. A recess was called at <br /> 10:30 P.M. <br /> Followi-hg a short recess, the Commission reconvened at 10:38. Ted <br /> Szywala (Parkway Development Company) , landowner of a 50 acre and 80 <br /> acre parcel in the Devon/53 area, presented his concepts before the <br /> Commission relative to the proposed development of his property. <br /> The 80 acre site was presented as R-3 single-family zoning. <br /> Hamilton raised the problem of retention and drainage as well as road <br /> openings into contiguous sections . Cimino questioned the placement of <br /> parks . <br /> Proposed for the 50 acre site were rental units consisting of two <br /> and five story apartments. <br /> Minus the presence of Hamilton (having left at 11 :45 P.M.), the <br /> remaining five Commissioners concurred that Mr. Szywala presented an <br /> excellent concept. <br />
