Minutes <br /> ELK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> November 18, 1987 <br /> Members Present: Members Absent <br /> John Glass, Chairman None <br /> Leah Cummins <br /> Fred Geinosky <br /> George Mullen <br /> Phil Knudsen <br /> Clark Fulton <br /> Dave Paliganoff <br /> Staff Present: Others Present: <br /> Earle Kracht, Donna Pugh, Attorney for <br /> Plan Reviewer Metropolitan Life <br /> Lynn Jones - Metropolitan Life <br /> James Gaveel, Walker Parking <br /> Associates <br /> Al Alexis, Architecht for <br /> Metropolitan Life <br /> (2) members of local newspapers <br /> (4) unidentified citizens <br /> Chairman Glass called the meeting and public hearing to order at 8:04 P.M. <br /> He requested a moment of silence in remembrance of past member Orrin <br /> Stangeland who recently passed away. <br /> Chairman Glass then announced the purpose of the public hearing was <br /> to be a discussion of Docket 87-12 to consider the petition of Metropolitan <br /> Life Insurance Company for a text amendment to Section 5.74 O-P - OFFICE <br /> PARK CONDITIONAL USE DISTRICT, of Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance <br /> No. 842. <br /> The petitioner represented by D. Pugh, L. Jones, J. Gaveel and <br /> A. Alexis each addressed the board regarding their petition. <br /> In summary the issues were as follows: <br /> 1 . They would like to increase the square foot area for <br /> required parking calculations from 250 to 300, which <br /> in effect would decrease the total number of parking <br /> spaces required. This, they felt, would put them in <br /> a competitive position for land use with similar <br /> facilities in surrounding communities. <br /> 2. They would like to decrease the required width of a <br /> parking stall from nine feet to eight feet six inches, <br /> since the stall use for the larger majority of spaces <br />
