Minutes <br /> ELK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> Date: Wednesday, August 1, 1984 <br /> Location: Council Chamber <br /> Municipal Building <br /> 901 Wellington Avenue <br /> The Public Hearing was called to order at 8:13 p.m. by Chairman Glass. <br /> Members Present: Members Absent: <br /> John Glass, Chairman Leah Cummins <br /> George Mullen Fred Geinosky <br /> Dave Paliganoff Orrin Stangeland <br /> Clark Fulton <br /> Staff Present: <br /> Thomas Rettenbacher, Building Commissioner <br /> Robin Weaver, Administrative Assistant <br /> Public Hearing - Docket 84-5: Petition for Rezoning 20 acres <br /> (Southeast corner of Biesterfield and Meacham Roads) <br /> Morton Kaplan, attorney for the petitioner, presented information <br /> through the following witnesses: Thomas R. Schreiner, property owner; <br /> Rolf C. Campbell, planner; Frank Muriello, real estate appraiser; and <br /> Ronald Adams, design engineer. It was stated that the intention of <br /> the property owner was to sell the parcel to a developer or to form <br /> a partnership with an experienced developer. In response to a question, <br /> Frank Muriello responded that in his opinion the highest and best use <br /> of the land is for B-3 and O-T uses. He also stated that these zoning <br /> classifications would not be injurious to the surrounding properties. <br /> Commissioners asked questions regarding economic feasibility; <br /> market demand; possible multi-family use; traffic; development schedules; <br /> maintenance responsibilities, dedication of Home Avenue; configuration <br /> of Home Avenue; possible uses of office space; and water detention. <br /> Bolger Landscape Plan <br /> The petitioner, Terence A. Bolger had requested a change in the <br /> Landscape Plan for the development at the Northeast corner of Devon <br /> Avenue and Arlington Heights Road. After discussion, the Plan Commission <br /> approved the use of Buckthorns as screening and three (3) trees - <br /> one each: Ginkgo Biloba, English Oak and Hop Hornbeam - in place of <br /> two (2) Locusts. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 11:18 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Robin A.
