Council Chamber <br /> ?Municipal Building <br /> 901 Wellington Avenue <br /> Members Present: Members Absent: <br /> Leah Cummins, Acting Chairman John Glass <br /> George Mullen Orrin Stangeland <br /> Clark -Fulton <br /> Frederick Geinosky <br /> David Palaganoff <br /> Staff Present: <br /> Thomas Rettenbacher, Building Commissioner <br /> Discussion - Docket 84-5 Petitioner, Mr. Thomas R: Schreiner <br /> Attorney, Mort Kaplan <br /> Mort Kaplan reviewed position of his client Mr. Schriebner. Although <br /> they presented a site plan and had Rolf Campbell testify during the <br /> Public Hearing that they are not seeking approval of a plan but asking <br /> only that the property be annexed and Zoned B-3 Business on the Meacham <br /> Frontage and B-4 0.&T. for the remainder of their land. The%specific <br /> uses and development plans would be submitted after the property had been <br /> marketed. Plan Commissioner told them they had never before received <br /> such a request from a planner. Mr. Schreiner explained his sincerity and <br /> his lack of planing experience. His request for B-3 and O-T Zoning was <br /> made after he talked with experts such as Rolf Campbell, Bennett and <br /> Kahnweiler and a land appraiser. Mr. Kaplan apparently realized the <br /> lack of support for his request by the Plan Commission and asked that <br /> they make.a decision and forward it on to the Village Board for their <br /> consideration. <br /> It was moved by Fred Geinosky and seconded by Clark Fulton that the <br /> request for zoning not be approved without a specific site plan, to do so <br /> without would be giving out a blank check. The motion to deny carried <br /> unanimously by voice vote. <br /> Reopen Public Hearing - Docket 84-8 Petitioner, Nor Slowtowski, <br /> Arlington Federal Savings <br /> Attorney, C. Bryrum <br /> This Hearing was held so that notices could be sent to residential <br /> property owners within 300 feet of property asked to be re-zoned. Mr. <br /> Byrum in general presented the previously heard testimony. To assist him <br /> were Robert Kowall, Arlington Federal, Ed Borre, Architect, Maria T. Lu <br /> Ashman. <br />
