Village ,Board` to grant fee waivers for <br /> governmental and non-profit organizations. <br /> (A report from the Deputy Director of Finance; <br /> recommending approval, is <br /> attached.) <br /> B)`Consideration to award a sole.source 'purchase contract to.Meggitt Training Systems, <br /> 'Inc. for the purchase of a Firearms Training Simulator in the amount not to exceed <br /> $65,545. <br /> (The Elk Grove Village Police Department has been investigating the purchase of' <br /> a Firearms Training Simulator,which could be utilized by all Police Officers as part of <br /> the Use of Force Training. <br /> (The computer based training simulator projects use of force scenarios onto:an <br /> interactive screen.where Police Officers make quick decisions on what level of force to <br /> use. <br /> (The simulator will enable the.Police Department to utilize hundreds of training <br /> simulation videos to greatly enhance the Use of Force Program. <br /> (The simulator will also be available to the public through the Citizens' Police <br /> Academy and the Business Police Academy. <br /> (In 2011, the State purchased the Meggitt XVT for their mobile training units and <br /> Elk Grove Police currently utilize their system. <br /> (Meggitt Training Systems, Inc:.also is utilized throughout the State for Use of . <br /> Force training. <br /> (Elk Grove purchased an early system in 1985 from Meggitt Training Systems, <br /> Inc. and has received a customer loyalty discount of$3,000. <br /> (A report from the Police Chief, recommending approval, is attached). <br />
