ELK GROVE VILLAGE COMMUNITY SERVICE BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> Thursday, January 20, 2000 <br /> Conference Room C—Lower Level <br /> Municipal Building <br /> Board Members Present: Board Members Absent: <br /> Nancy Czarnik Jim Foss <br /> Anne Feichter Ruth Guest <br /> Mary Hale Paul Klevinsky <br /> Tony Kees Mary Paliganoff <br /> Alva Kreutzer <br /> Sal Pace Staff: <br /> Des Rafferty Beth Madden <br /> Dick Scholten <br /> Peg Vallillo <br /> Call to Order: <br /> Alva Kreutzer called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Anne Feichter, who had been <br /> Acting Secretary, since Mary Cortes' resignation, was officially declared Secretary by the <br /> Board. <br /> Action Items: <br /> The minutes were approved as given, after a motion by Nancy Czarnik and a second by <br /> Peg Vallillo. The newest member of the Community Service Board was introduced, <br /> Desmond Rafferty. The Board introduced themselves and Des briefly told us about <br /> himself and his background leading up to accepting a position as Social Worker with the <br /> Elk Grove Police Department. <br /> Chairperson's Report: <br /> None <br /> Coordinator's Report: <br /> Written report in Board packets. Beth stated that the Salvation Army has raised almost <br /> $1600 this past year, 40%of which goes back to Elk Grove Village. <br /> Committee Reports: <br /> Elk Grove Community Spirit Award Committee: Given by Mary Hale <br /> Mary announced that Channel 6 would be doing another shoot next week. She <br /> mentioned several who would be receiving awards. However, nominations are coming in <br /> very slowly. The Board suggested ways to get more people interested in nominating <br /> others. <br /> Volunteer Committee: Given by Anne Feichter <br />
