ELK GROVE VILLAGE COMMUNITY SERVICE BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> Thursday, August 17, 2000 <br /> Conference Room C—Lower Level <br /> Municipal Building <br /> Board members Present: Board Members Absent: <br /> Nancy Czarnik <br /> Anne Feichter <br /> Jim Foss <br /> Mary Hale <br /> Tony Kees <br /> Alva Kreutzer Staff Present: <br /> Sal Pace Beverly Jaszczurowski <br /> Mary Paliganoff <br /> Des Raftery <br /> Dick Scholten <br /> Peg Vallillo <br /> Call to Order: <br /> Jim Foss called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br /> Action Items: <br /> The minutes were approved after a motion by Alva Kreutzer and a second by Sal Pace. <br /> Chairperson's Report: <br /> Jim Foss announced that Hamilton Partners had agreed to underwrite in the amount of <br /> $800 the cost for the Elk Grove Theater to offer a"free showing"once a week for six <br /> weeks beginning next summer on a weekday morning. The film would be geared to <br /> children and families. <br /> Coordinator's Report: <br /> No Report <br /> Committee Reports: <br /> Elk Grove Community Spirit Award Committee: <br /> Given by Mary Hale <br /> No Report as there have not been any meetings over the summer. <br /> Summer Activities Committee: <br /> Given by Mary Hale <br /> No Report. There was a discussion on the Farmers' Market. Signage has been added to <br /> improve visibility. One of the vendors has dropped out because of lack of business. <br /> However, others remain and say the Market takes time to catch on. It was suggested that <br /> the Market start an hour earlier at 7:00 am, as the vendors are already there and ready and <br /> the earlier time would allow more people to stop by before work. <br />
