ELK GROVE VILLAGE COMMUNITY SERVICE BOARD OF DIRETORS <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> Thursday, January 19, 2006 <br /> Conference Room C— Lower Level, Municipal Building <br /> Board Members Present: Board Members Absent: <br /> Nancy Czarnik, Trustee Liaison James Morrill, President <br /> Mike Tuozzo, Vice President Jim Foss <br /> Ryan Buckler, Secretary <br /> Teresa Anesinis <br /> Ann Feichter Staff Present: <br /> Georgia Landt Linda Blair, Coordinator <br /> Mary Paliganoff <br /> Desmond Raftery <br /> Peg Vallillo <br /> Call to Order: <br /> Mike Tuozzo, Vice President, called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> Action Items-Minutes: <br /> ® The minutes from the November 17, 2005 meeting were approved after a motion by Peg <br /> Vallillo and a second by Anne Feichter. <br /> Coordinator's Report: Given by Linda Blair <br /> WINGS sent the Board a thank you note from the Make a Difference Drive. <br /> Adopt-a-Family program from Christmas was a booming success with 33 families served <br /> at Thanksgiving and 44 at Christmas. This year as in the past two years, Coordinator <br /> Blair has been helping families referred by Elk Grove Township since they meet the <br /> criteria to receive our services. The office is fortunate to have a surplus of donors. <br /> The Salvation Army Drive went well, total collected was $1,917 for two Saturdays worth <br /> of work. Coordinator Blair was pleased with this drive. <br /> The solicitation for Volunteer of the Year nominees will begin in February. <br /> The Senior Directory was last published in 2001, so the office will be working on <br /> updating it. This booklet will be for seniors and disabled individuals. It is distributed to <br /> the Kenneth Young Center,the Senior Center and to anyone requesting a copy. <br /> Anne Feichter asked if we had received requests from residents to help pay gas bills, but <br /> the office hasn't received any yet. Fortunately, Vice President Tuozzo pointed out that <br /> the Chicago land area has experienced a mild winter. <br />
