Cavallini, Director of Health & Community Services <br /> Linda Blair, Community Services Coordinator <br /> Kristen Gonsur, Environmental Health Inspector <br /> Christine Czernecki, Envuomnental Health Inspector <br /> Call To Order <br /> Chairman Jim Christie called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM. <br /> Action Items: Approval of the Minutes ��-S <br /> There was a motion by Sal Pace to approve the minutes of the' 20, 2006 meeting, <br /> second by Terri Dill. The minutes were unanimously approved, <br /> Director's Report <br /> Anti-Smoking Campaign <br /> The Village-wide anti-smoking campaign begins on November 16"i. This date marks the amoral <br /> American Cancer Society's, Great American Suaoke Out. The Director has set up a table in the <br /> Village Hall atrium with anti-smoking and smoking cessation information to kick off the <br /> campaign. Elk Grove High School will be holding Great American Smoke Out activities outside <br /> the cafeteria. The Village purchased water bottles to be handed out to students pledging to <br /> remain smoke free. Channel 6 will be filming the EGHS activities. These will be added to a full- <br /> length feature on the new ordinance and the harmful effects of smoking to be aired next year. <br /> The Director has purchased Quit Kits from the American lung Association to be used for the <br /> various anti-smoking programs to be implemented during the next year. <br /> Additional programs will be phased in leading up to 01/01/07. There will be an anti-smoking <br /> slogan poster contest for elementary students and the logo to be designed by high school <br /> students. The program will also pay to train EGHS students in a train-the-trainer program <br />
