Kozor, Plan Reviewer/Inspection Supervisor, Community Development Zoning Variation — Docket #20-4 —1205 Helen Lane The meeting was held via GoToMeeting teleconference Chairman Childress called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm and read a statement describing the hearing notification procedure as well as the legal notice. The petitioners, Jarett Reinwald and Amy Cunningham, (Owners of Record), were sworn in and asked to present their case. The petitioner explained the hardship is that they would like to keep the current fence locations however modify the heights. Due to the double frontage of the property, the current Zoning Ordinance would drastically limit the size of their yard. Additionally, they are looking to have additional screening provided with the higher six (6') foot section of fence along Rohlwing Road. Chairman Childress opened the meeting to questions from the board. Member Dohrer stated that the existing fence matches existing fences along Rohlwing Road and had no objection to the variance request. Chairman Childress opened the meeting to questions from the public. Joseph Chittenden, 1209 Helen Lane, had no objections to the variance request. Robert Helmink, 1220 Diane Lane, had no objections to the variance request. No objections were made by ZBA members. No additional comments were received from the public. Chairman Childress called for the motion. A Motion to DO GRANT the variation to permit the installation of a four (4') foot high open type fence which will extend approximately sixteen (16') feet beyond the nearest front corner of the principal structure on the adjacent single-family residential lot to the west at 1209 Helen Lane and to permit a portion of the existing fence along Rohlwing Road to be replaced with a six (6') foot high privacy fence, located three (3') feet from the street side property line and extending approximately twelve (12') feet in front of the rear edge of the house was made by Member Dohrer which was seconded by Member Kelley. Upon voting (AYES — Bookler, Childress, Colgan, Dohrer, Kelley, Serrano, and Spragg.) (NAYES- None.) (ABSENT — Jameel and Romanski.) The motion carried. Mr. Childress advised the petitioner to contact the Village Clerk and be available for the subsequent Village Board Meeting that will hear the request.
