Kozor, Plan Reviewer/Inspection Supervisor, Community Development Zoning Variation — Docket #20-2 - 298 W. Brantwood Avenue The meeting was held via GoToMeeting teleconference Chairman Childress called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm and read a statement describing the hearing notification procedure as well as the legal notice. The petitioner, Marta Sakosky, (Owner of Record), was sworn in and asked to present her case. The petitioner explained the hardship is that the rear yard is narrow due to the double frontage of a corner lot property, leaving a small rear yard. Chairman Childress opened the meeting to questions from the board. Member Dohrer asked the petitioner whether she had talked to neighbors regarding this request. The petitioner stated that both the neighbors to the north and to the east had no objection to the variance request. Bojan Palkovic, 246 W. Brantwood Avenue, was in attendance and had no objections to the variance request. No objections were made by ZBA members. No additional comments were received from the public. Chairman Childress called for the motion. A Motion to DO GRANT a variation request for the petitioner to install a six (6') foot high privacy fence which will extend approximately six (6') feet beyond the nearest front corner of the principal structure on the adjacent single-family residential lot was made by Member Dohrer, and seconded by Member Bookler. Upon voting (AYES — Bookler, Childress, Colgan, Dohrer, Kelley, Jameel, Serrano, and Spragg.) (NAYES- None.) (ABSENT— Romanski.) The motion carried. Mr. Childress advised the petitioner to contact the Village Clerk and be available for the subsequent Village Board Meeting that will hear the request.
