ELK GROVE FIREMEN'S PENSION FUND
2 NOVEMBER 1981
A meeting of the Firemen's Pension Fund was held on Monday, November 2, 1981
in the Chief's office of the Headquarters Fire Station, 101 Biesterfield Road.
The meeting was called to order by President Walter Kriesant at 7:55 P.M.
ROLL CALL
On Roll Call the following members were present: Walter Kriesant, Charles B.
Henrici, Joseph Gardner III and Len Flood (Village Assistant Finance Director
representing George C. Coney) .
MINUTES
Minutes of August 17, 1981 meeting were read by the Secretary Joseph Gardner III.
Motion by C. Henrici seconded by W. Kriesant to accept as written. Motion passed
unanimously.
TREASURER'S REPORT
L. Flood, Village Assistant Finance Director representing G. Coney submitted
- � balance sheet as of October 31, 1981. He also reported there had been no
investment in Grace Capital Inc. as of October 13,1981. Motion by J. Gardner
III, seconded by C. Henrici to accept Treasurer's Report and place balance
-' sheet on file with Board Minutes. Motion passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
Secretary reported Pension Fund Members compliance with necessary documental-
ion were as follows:
69.4% fully complied
8.2 % partially complied
74.60 of all deficiencies found by the Illinois Department of Insurances
Report of Examination 30 April 1980 had been corrected. Motion by W. Kriesant
seconded by C. Henrici to accept Secretary's report. Motion passed unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
Secretary reported there was a Pension Seminar being held November 20,1981
in Elmhurst, Illinois. Motion by C. Henrici seconded by J. Gardner`III for
Pension Fund to pay expenses of any Board Members wishing to attend that
seminar. Motion passed unanimously.
There was some discussion on what benefits would apply to Firefighter K. Graff's
spouse. Secretary reported latest revisions as of November 28, 1979 in Chapter
-� 108g Pensions Article 4, Section 4-114.1 stated "Pensions benefits shall apply
with equal force to the surviving spouse minor childern and dependent parents of
I a female fireman; without modification or distinction whatso ever."
