ELK GROVE FIREMEN'S PENSION FUND
3 MAY 1983
A meeting of the Firemen's Pension Fund was held on Tuesdays 3 May 1983
in the basement of the Headquarters Fire Station, 101 Biesterfield Road.
The meeting was called to order by President Walter J. Kriesant at 7:30 P.M.
ROLL CALL
On Roll Call the following members were present: Walter J. Kriesant, Charles
B. Henrici . George C. Coney, Douglas C. Goostree, and Joseph Gardner III.
MINUTES .
Minutes of the 2 November 1982 meeting were read by the Secretary, Motion by
C.Henri.ci seconded G. Coney to accept as written. Motion passed unanimously.

TREASURER'S REPORT
Treasurer G.Coney submitted balance sheet and schedule of investments of the
Pension Fund as of 30 April 1983. The Treasurer reported Illinois Dept. of
Insurance changed their method of figuring actuarial soundness of Pension Funds.
This new method changed Elk Grove Firemen's Pension Fund's actuarial deficiency
of $11,105,540.00 as of 30 April 1982 to approximately a $242,000.00 surplus. _
The Illinois Dept. of Insurance recommended the Pension Board request of the
Village a_ levy of $393,388.00.`The Treasurer recommended the Pension Board re-
quest a levy of $420,000.00 based on the updated salaries 1983-1984. The Treas-
urer volunteered to send the letter. The Pension Board approved unanimously.
Motion by G.Coney seconded by C. Henrici to transfer $21,965.29 from the pass-

book account at Arlington Federal Savings to a Money Market Investment account
at Arlington Federal Savings and have all future deposits to be`de osited ie

the new account. Motion passed unanimously. Motion by J.Gardner III, seconded
by D.Goostree to accept Treasurer's Report and place balance sheet and
schedule of investments on file with Pension Board Minutes. Motion passed
unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
Canvass of ballots from 18 April 1933 election was taken. Motion by G.Coney
seconded by C. Henrici to accept tally count and declare Joseph Gardner III
as ginner. Motion passed unanimously.
PRESENTATION .& APPROVAL OF BILLS OR DISBURSEMENTS
Motion by .C. Henrici , seconded by W. Kriesant to accept a bill of $72.00
for Pension Seminar held Nov. 1932 in Elmhurst, Illinois. Three Pension`
Board members had attended. Motion passed unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
Motion by C. Henrici , seconded by G. Coney to: nominate:
Walter J. Kriesant (President)
Douglas C. Goostree (Vice-President)
Joseph Gardner III (Secretary)
Motion passed unanimously. The Secretary was instructed ,to cast one unanimous

ballot for the above Offices. Therefore,' above Officers are declared elected.

Motion by D.Goostree, seconded by C. Henrici to adjourn. Motion passed
unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 8:12 P.M.
