A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RESULTS OF THE CANVASS CONDUCTED BY THE
CANVASSING BOARD OF THE COOK COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE OF THE VOTES OF
THE PRESIDENTIAL GENERAL ELECTION FOR AN ADVISORY REFERENDUM HELD
ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2020 AND PROCLAIMING THE RESULTS
WHEREAS, a Presidential General Election was held in and for the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 for the purpose of
presenting an advisory referendum; and
WHEREAS, the Cook County Clerk canvassed the results of the election and as required by
statute provided the following totals to the Village Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That said general election was duly held as provided by law.
Section 2: That a total of 16,504 votes were cast for an advisory referendum asking:
"In the Village's upcoming residential waste and recycling agreement, should the
Village consider charging all residents an increased rate for unlimited yard waste collection in
lieu of yard waste stickers?"
VOTE: YES 4,447 NO 12,057
By Elk Grove Township received 10,621 votes
By Schaumburg Township received 5,883 votes
Section 3: That the Proclamation of the Canvassing Board is hereby accepted in total.
Section 4: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval according to law.
VOTE: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0

The Cook County Clerk, having completed a canvass of all votes cast for Elk Grove Village, Yard Waste Collection, hereby certifies the
