OF THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
HELD ON AUGUST 4, 2020
Executive Session
The commission met in executive session to complete oral interviews and discuss personnel
matters. A majority vote ended executive session.
Approval of Minutes
Review of Minutes from June 21, 2020. — The minutes were approved.

Old Business
1. Police Test — Stanard and Associates reports that 67 candidates passed the test. The
commission secretary then scheduled multiple interviews for the week of August 101h
The commission will try to finalize the list by the end of the week, and immediately
begin processing backgrounds.
2. Background Reviews — The commission approved several firefighter backgrounds and
will schedule Individual Oral interviews on August 26cn
3. Friedman Statistical Analysis review — Dr. Friedman provided the commission with
updated statistics for the Matrix system. The commission approved the continued use of
Dr. Friedman and Matrix for an unspecified term.
New Business
1. Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives — The commission will begin to partner with the Police
Department to discuss Diversity and inclusion initiatives. The stated goal is to take a
more proactive approach in hiring diverse candidates for both Police and Fire.
Eligibility List
Firefighter Eligibility List will expire on 09/19/2021.
Fire Lieutenant Eligibility list scheduled to expire on 03/09/2022.
Police Officer Eligibility list Expires Exhausted.
Police Sergeant Eligibility list scheduled to expire on 07/08/2021.
