KNICKERBOCKER Village Attorney Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on January 8, 2019, this Executive Session was called to consider review of Land Acquisition/Disposition. Number of pages attached: Date(s) of review for release Date of approval for release: Date approved by Village Board 1 August 2019 February 26, 2019 January 8, 2019 `.- 6:19 p.m. The Mayor met with the developer looking to acquire the Elk Grove Motel from the Village. As part of the proposed hotel development, the developer will look to pursue an Outback Steakhouse type user for the restaurant piece. The Village is working with the developer to purchase the small shopping center adjacent to the Elk Grove Motel site. The proposed development deal would include the Village providing the land for the Elk Grove Motel at no cost, on a staged basis. Additionally, the Village has offered to pay up to the previously offered purchase price of $1.45 million for the shopping center, if the developer can close the deal with the current owner. The development will include two hotels, a Tru by Hilton and a Holiday Inn Express -type flag. The developer would like to begin construction in the spring and have one hotel and a restaurant completed in about a year from then. The meeting was adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
