Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on March 19,
2019, this Executive Session was
called to consider review of Property Acquisition.

The property at 401 Busse is up for tax sale for $56,000 and is in the TIF district. The Village
has first opportunity to obtain the property through tax sale, and the property owner has six
months to pay this amount, otherwise the property ownership would be transferred to the Village.
The property is adjacent to the Avalon Banquet hall property and has good potential for a future
redevelopment project.
The consensus of the Board was to purchase the property at 401 Busse through the tax sale with
TIF funds.
