SCHMIDT Village Trustee Elect Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on April 23, 2019, this Executive Session was called to consider review of Personnel. Number of pages attached: 1 Date(s) of review for release: November 2019 Date of approval for release: Date approved by Village Board: May 14, 2019 April 23, 2019 6:21 p.m. The Public Works Director explained his proposal for a reorganization of the Public Works Department organizational chart. Currently, the Public Works Department has an Infrastructure Operations Foreman and Utility Operations Foreman, who supervise other foreman. The proposed organizational chart would create three superintendent positions to create a clear hierarchy. A Fleet Services and Facilities Superintendent position will be created, however the Deputy Public Works Director will take on these responsibilities until his retirement and the Superintendent position will remain vacant until then. The new organizational chart also reclassifies the Management Analyst position to Assistant to the Public Works Director. The current Management Analyst has been with the Department for four years, and the reclassification will help retain him and give him more responsibility. The estimated annual cost of this new structure is approximately $20,000. The consensus of the Board was to approve the new organizational chart. The meeting was adjourned at 6:32 p.m. M
