A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RESULTS OF THE CANVASS CONDUCTED BY THE CANVASSING BOARD OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE OF THE VOTES OF THE CONSOLIDATED ELECTION FOR VILLAGE OFFICIALS
HELD ON TUESDAY, APRIL 5, 2005 AND PROCLAIMING THE RESULTS
WHEREAS, a Consolidated Election was held in and for the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 for the purpose of electing one
(1) Mayor – for a four (4) year term; three (3) Village Trustees - each for a four (4) year term; three (3) Library Trustees - each for a six (6) year term; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, a Village Trustee, and the Village Clerk met after due notice to all concerned parties and canvassed the results of the election as required by statute by examining
the official tally sheets and returns which have been transmitted to the Village Clerk by the County Clerk and have made their report to the Village Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That said election was duly held as provided by law.
Section 2: That a total of 7,282 votes were cast in the following manner:
For the Office of Mayor:
Craig B. Johnson 5,112
Roger J. Bianco 1,861
For the Office of Village Trustee:
Chris Prochno 4,954
Mitchell E. Gora 2,563
Pat Feichter 4,446
Bart K. Dill 3,761
Joe Meister 2,624
For the Office of the Library Board of Trustees:
Gilbert C. Schumm 5,239
James J. Colgan 5,157
Paul B. Kaplan 5,296
Section 3: That the Proclamation of the Canvassing Board is hereby accepted in total.
Section 4: That Craig B. Johnson received the highest number of votes for the Office of Mayor and is hereby declared elected to the Office of Mayor of the Village of Elk Grove Village
for a term of four (4) years.
Section 5: That Chris Prochno, Pat Feichter and Bart K. Dill received the highest number of votes for the Office of Village Trustee and they are hereby declared elected to the Office
of Village Trustee of the Village of Elk Grove Village for a term of four (4) years.
Section 6: That Gilbert C. Schumm, James J. Colgan and Paul B. Kaplan received the highest number of votes for the Office of Library Board of Trustees and they are hereby declared
elected to the Office of Library Trustee of the Village of Elk Grove Village for a term of six (6) years.
Section 7: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after it passage and approval according to law.
