A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
AND THE SOUTH SUBURBAN AIRPORT COALITION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
OF THE SOUTH SUBURBAN AIRPORT
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois as
follows:
Section 1: That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to sign the attached
documents marked:
AN AGREEMENT PROVIDING FOR JOINING
THE SOUTH SUBURBAN AIRPORT COALITION
AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SOUTH SUBURBAN AIRPORT
a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth and the
Village Clerk is authorized to attest said documents upon the signature of the Mayor.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval according to law.

AN AGREEMENT PROVIDING FOR JOINING THE SOUTH SUBURBAN AIRPORT
COALITION AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SOUTH SUBURBAN AIRPORT
This AGREEMENT is made and entered into as of the 11 day of March, 2003, by and
between the county(ies), municipality(ies), authority(ies) and other political subdivisions and
units of local government (the "Governmental Parties") hereafter executing this Agreement.
WHEREAS, all of the Governmental Parties desire to support and participate in efforts
to cause the development of a regional commercial airport with passenger and cargo facilities
(the "South Suburban Airport") in Will County, Illinois, and believe that the South Suburban
Airport is a critical component of the solution to provide for additional airport facilities to
expand the Chicago region's aviation capacity in an efficient, cost-effective, expeditious and
environmentally sound basis, and
NOW, THEREFORE, the Governmental Parties do hereby agree as follows:
COOPERATION: Each Governmental Party covenants and promises to each other
Governmental Party that it hereby joins the "South Suburban Airport Coalition" and will
participate in the negotiation and development of an intergovernmental agreement providing for
the planning, development, construction, funding and operation of the South Suburban Airport.
FINANCIAL OBLIGATION: Nothing in this agreement obligates any of the
governmental parties to any financial obligation.
COUNTERPARTS: This Agreement shall be executed in multiple, identical
counterparts each of which shall constitute one and the same instrument.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Governmental Parties have, in each case, pursuant to
appropriate lawful authorization, set their hands and seals on the day and year above written.
