HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2933 - 4/8/2003 - CLASSIF PLAN/SALARY PLAN AMENDEDORDINANCE NO. 2933 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLANS: THE CLASSIFICATION PLANS: AND SALARY RANGE FOR MERIT PAY PLAN POSITIONS OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That the Position Classification and Salary Plan, The Classification Plan; and Salary Range or Merit Pay Plan Position, as referenced in Title 1, Chapter 7, Section 1-7-5 of the Village Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Plans are hereby established to provide proper compensation for each job. These Plans are as follows: A. A Merit Salary Plan for Non -Union Executive, Administrative, Supervisory, Technical, and Professional employees as adjusted, B. A Merit Salary Plan for the Unionized Fire Lieutenant Classification as negotiated, C. A Non -Union Step Pay Plan as adjusted for non -supervisory employees; D. Step Pay Plans as negotiated for Unionized employees, E. Specific Rate Pay Plan for School Crossing Guards, Custodians, Residential Meter Readers, Summer Employees and Interns. The Classification Plan The Schematic Outline of Occupational Titles, including a class code and the list of authorized Positions by departments, shall constitute the Classification Plan, copies of which are on file in the Office of the Village Clerk. All positions in each class shall be compensated in accordance with their designated Salary Plan. Salary Range for Non -Union Merit Pay Plan Positions As attached on the 2003-2004 Merit Pay Plan Position Rate Range List. Non -Union General Step Pay Plan Position As attached on the 2003-2004 Step pay Plan Position Step Rate List Specific Rate Pay Plan Position Rate As approved by the Village Board in their appropriate Ordinances. Section 2: That a 1 % equity adjustment for Police Sergeants is established. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of May 1, 2003 and upon its passage and approval according to law. VOTE.
