A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO
EXECUTE A REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF ELK
GROVE VILLAGE AND THE COOK COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT (DEVON
AVENUE WIDENING)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois as
follows:
Section 1: That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to sign the attached
documents marked:
REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT
DEVON AVENUE
BUSSE ROAD TO ELMHURST ROAD
a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth and the
Village Clerk is authorized to attest said documents upon the signature of the Mayor.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval according to law.

SECTION: 98-B 1117 -04 -RS
REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT
This REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT, made and entered into by and between the COUNTY OF
COOK, a body politic and corporate of the State of Illinois, hereinafter called "COUNTY", and the
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, a body politic and corporate of the State of Illinois, hereinafter
called "VILLAGE".
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, the COUNTY proposes to improve Devon Avenue from Busse Road to Elmhurst Road by
widening said road, County Section: 98 -BI 117 -04 -RS;
WHEREAS, the VILLAGE has an existing 300 mm water main adjacent to and crossing Devon Avenue
in the area of a culvert extension;
WHEREAS, encasement and relocation of the water main is a VILLAGE expense;
WHEREAS, the VILLAGE has accepted COUNTY's offer to include the water main relocation in its
improvement project;
WHEREAS, VILLAGE prepared plans and estimates of quantities and award costs are available; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the mutual best interest of the parties hereto to delineate said terms and responsibilities
regarding the extent of VILLAGE work and the sharing of costs associated with said work.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the above recitals and
other good and valuable considerations, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. The COUNTY shall relocate, to VILLAGE standards, 295 meters and encase 37 meters of 300 mm
water main at VILLAGE expense, said work to include the costs of water main, sleeve, valves and valve
boxes and appurtenant costs to install said water main as delineated in attached EXHIBIT A (estimated cost
$97,715.00);
2. Upon notice from the COUNTY, the VILLAGE will pay to the COUNTY Fifty Thousand Dollars
($50,000.00) for watetmain items identified as VILLAGE responsibility herein and the remaining balance of
the watermain costs following final inspection of the project and based upon actual quantities. Payment to
the COUNTY shall be made by check, payable to the Treasurer of Cook County for deposit in COUNTY's
Motor Fuel Tax Fund Account 600-600 and identified as Section: 98-B 1117 -04 -RS, mailed directly to the
Superintendent of Highways; and,

3. The VILLAGE shall own, operate and maintain the water main relocated as part of this project and
this Agreement stands in lieu of a separate COUNTY Highway Permit for said facilities and the VILLAGE
shall be bound to the general terms of COUNTY Highway Permits as they exist the date of execution of this
Agreement by the COUNTY.
This Agreement shall be binding and enure to the benefit of the parties hereto, their successors and assigns.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the COUNTY and VILLAGE have caused this Agreement to be executed by
their respective officials on the dates as shown.
