HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2950 - 9/23/2003 - ZONING VARIATION/1721 BALTIMORE DRORDINANCE NO. 2950 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 3-7.D.1 AND 7A-1 (4) PERTAINING TO SIDE YARD SETBACK REGULATIONS FOR PRINCIPAL STRUCTURES TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A GARAGE ADDITION THAT WOULD ENCROACH APPROXIMATELY 2.3 FEET INTO THE REQUIRED 15 FOOT CORNER LOT SIDE YARD SETBACK ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1721 BALTIMORE DRIVE. ELK GROVE VILLAGE (MARTIRE) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk Grove Village, at a public hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a variation of Section 3-7.D.1 and 7A-1, (4) to permit the construction of a garage addition that would encroach approximately 2.3 feet into the required side yard on property located at 1721 Baltimore Drive, Elk Grove Village; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees, after having reviewed the recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sections 3-7:D.1 and 7A- 1, (4) of the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to the location of a principal structure in the required side yard areas to permit the construction of a garage addition that would encroach approximately 2.3 feet into the required 15 foot comer lot side yard setback on property located at 1721 Baltimore Drive, Elk Grove Village and identified by the following property identification number: 07-26-404-019-0000 Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
