AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 5. CHAPTER 5, SECTION 5-5-1, FIRE AND
AMBULANCE SERVICE OUTSIDE VILLAGE, OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, BY AMENDING RATES AND SERVICES FOR
NON-RESIDENTS IN UNINCORPORATED AREAS INCLUDING BUSSE WOODS
FOREST PRESERVE AND INTERSTATE 290
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois as
follows:
Section 1: That Chapter 5. Section 5-5-1B-1, Rates Established, be amended
as follows:
1. Non -contract, Per -Call Rate. The following rates shall be charged to those
individuals who have not previously contracted for fire and ambulance
services and to those non-residents in unincorporated areas including Busse
Woods Forest Preserve and Interstate 290:
-Ambulance - $300 per Basic life support(BLS) call and $400
per Advanced life support (ALS) call.
-Vehicles containing firefighting apparatus, exclusive of
automobiles- $500 per vehicle per call.
Section 2: That the remaining Sections of Title 5, Chapter 5, pertaining to Fire
and Ambulance Service Outside the Village Limit, shall be in full force and effect.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this
Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from after its
passage, approval, and publication according to law.
