HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2897 - 5/28/2002 - LIQUOR LICENSES AMENDEDORDINANCE NO. 2897 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3-3-6 OF THE VILLAGE CODE PERTAINING TO CLASSIFICATION OF LIQUOR LICENSES BY ADDING THERETO PROVISIONS FOR A NSW CLASS G LICENSE (SEASONAL MUNICIPAL) BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage Illinois as follows: Section 1: That Section 3-3-6 Classification of Licenses of the Village Code be and the same is hereby amended by adding a Class G License which shall be inserted between the Class F License and the Class AA License and which shall read as follows: Class G License (Seasonal Municipal) - which shall authorize the selling of: beer, ale, and other malt based alcoholic liquors by a municipal entity for consumption on the premises or on the area surrounding the premises and which is also owned by the municipal entity. The sale of the permitted alcoholic liquors shall be in conjunction with the sale of food and shall be further subject to the following conditions: 1. The structure used for selling the permitted alcohol shall be approved by the Department of Engineering and Community Development. 2. The license shall be deemed seasonal and shall be valid only between April tat and October 318t of each year. 3. The Liquor Commissioner shall have the authority to suspend for up to thirty (30) days or revoke the Class G License upon any violation of this Chapter or other conduct by the licensee detrimental to the seasonal recreational activity related to this license, based upon such evidence as deemed convincing and sufficient to said Liquor Commissioner in his discretion. 1 Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
