AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1, OFFICE OF HEALTH SERVICES OF
TITLE 4 OF THE VILLAGE CODE BY CHANGING THE TITLE OF HEALTH
COORDINATOR TO DIRECTOR OF HEALTH AND COMMUNITY SERVICES AND BY
ADDING THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF DIRECTING THE COMMUNITY SERVICES
FUNCTION FOR TH8 VILLAGE.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 4-1-1 of the Village Code Office
of Health Services be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
4-1-1 DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND COMMUNITY SERVICES: The
Department of Health and Community Services is hereby
established to supervise and oversee the enforcement of
regulations relating to public health and community
services. The Department shall consist of the Director of
Health and Community Services and such other positions as
established by the Mayor and Board of Trustees. The
Director of Health and Community Services shall be
appointed by the Village Manager and shall serve at his
discretion. The Director of Health and Community Services
shall also serve as a liaison between the Board of Health
and the Community Services Board.
Section 2: That Section 4-1-2, Duties and
Responsibilities, of the Village Code be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
4-1-2 DUTIES LAND RFSPONSIBIL•ITIFS: The Director of Health
and Community Services shall be responsible for the
inspection, supervision and enforcement of the health
regulations set forth in this Title 4 as well as the health
related licensing regulations set forth in Title 3 of this
Code.
The Department shall also be responsible for all Community
Services activities.

Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
