HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2854 - 9/25/2001 - ZONING VARIATION/728 EASTON LNORDINANCE NO. 2854 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 3-6:D.1 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A ROOM ADDITION WHICH WOULD ENCROACH APPROXIMATELY 5.75 FEET INTO THE 20 FOOT REQU3AED REAR YARD ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 728 EASTON LANE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (MORRISON/WIKTOROWICZ) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals, at a public hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a variation of Section 3-6:D.1 of the zoning ordinance as it pertains to the location of principal structures in the required rear yard to permit the construction of a room addition which would encroach approximately 5.75 feet into the 20 foot required rear yard on property located at 728 Easton Lane, Elk Grove Village, and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section l: That there be granted a variation of Section 3- 6:D.1 of the zoning ordinance to permit the construction of a room addition which would encroach approximately 5.75 feet into the 20 foot required rear yard on property located at 728 Easton Lane, Elk Grove Village and legally described as follows: Lot 19 in Whytecliffe Subdivision, being a Resubdivision of Lot 2 in Schreiner's Subdivision and a Subdivision of part of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 41 north, Range 10 East of the Third Principal -'Meridian, recorded October 25, 1999 as Document No. 99999359 in Cook County, Illinois. Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0 PASSED this 25th day of September 2001.
