AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 -5A -1:A. OF THE VILLAGE CODE AS IT
PERTAINS TO ADOPTING THE FOOD SERVICE AND RETAIL STORE SANITATION
CODE, THEREBY ADOPTING SUB -PARAGRAPH C PERTAINING TO REGULATIONS
AND REQUIREMENTS FOR TB SCREENING
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That sub -paragraph "c" of Section 750.500 of
the Rules and Regulations of the Illinois Department of Health as
adopted by Section 3-5A-1: of the Village Code be and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
c) All persons employed by a food establishment
or retail food store, must show proof of having
undergone TB Screening within a two (2) year
period. All new employees, as a condition of
employment, must show proof of having undergone
a TB Screening within two (2) years of being hired.
All employees must also undergo TB Screening
every two (2) years as part of a continued
condition of employment. Such employee must
show proof of TB Screening through a skin test,
x-ray, or other method deemed satisfactory
by the Health Department of the Village.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
