AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7A -3(2)(b) OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
PERTAINING TO REGULATIONS FOR CONGREGATE SENIOR HOUSING AS A SPECIAL
USE IN THE A-2 ZONING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to
Law, considered the question of amending various sections of
7A-3(c)(2)(b) of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to congregate
senior housing in the A-2 Zoning District; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees, of the Village of Elk
Grove Village, after having reviewed the recommendation and finding of
said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best interest
of the Village that the Zoning Ordinance be amended pursuant to the
findings of said Plan Commission.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage,
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 7A-3(C)(2)(b)(1)(A) of the Zoning
Ordinance be amended to read as follows:
(A). The tract of land (which may be made up of smaller
parcels) must be under single ownership and/or unified
control, having at least two -and -one-half (2.5) acres, or
be a parcel adjoining an existing area which has already
received this special use within the A-2 District.
Section 2: That Section 7A-3(C)(2)(b)(2)(B)(ii) of the Zoning
Ordinance be amended to read as follows:
ii. The number of dwelling units shall not exceed fifty
(50) per acre.

Section 3: That Section 7A-3(C)(2)(b)(2)(C)(iv) of the Zoning
Ordinance be amended to read as follows:
iv. The parking requirements for residential use shall
not be less than fifty one-hundreths (.50) parking spaces
for each dwelling unit.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to
publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication according
to law.
