AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3-6:B. OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO
PROVIDE FOR NEW RESTRICTIONS WITH RESPECT TO PRINCIPAL BUILDINGS
AND ACCESSORY STRUCTURES
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, sitting as a Zoning Commission, considered the question
of amending Section 3-6:B. of the Zoning Ordinance to establish
amended regulations for Principal Buildings and Accessory
Structures; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation and
finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe that the
proposed amendment is in the best interest of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 3-6:B. of the Zoning Ordinance be
and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 3-6:B. Principal Buildings and Accessory
Structures: Unless part of a planned development
project, only one principal building and permitted
accessory structure may be erected on any lot of
record on any conforming lot. For the purpose of this
section, a single storage shed, as defined by this
ordinance, shall be permitted in addition to any other
type of permitted accessory structure. Temporary
structures are permitted during and for construction
purposes only.
Section 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from after its passage and approval according to law.
