AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 YOUTH COMMISSION OF TITLE 2 OF
THE VILLAGE CODE BY ESTABLISHING A YOUTH COMMISSION WHICH WILL
CONSIST OF SIX (6) MEMBERS
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DUPage,
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 2-13-1 of the Village Code be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
2-13-1 COMMISSION CREATED;
MEMBERSHIP; APPOINTMENT; TERMS: There is hereby
established a Youth Commission which shall
consist of six (6) members, two (2)of
of whom shall be Village Trustees; two
(2) of whom shall be Park District Trustees;
and two (2) of whom shall be adult residents of
the Village. The members shall be appointed by
the Village Mayor with the consent of the Board
of Trustees. The Trustee members and the Park
District members shall serve terms of two (2)
years. The two (2) adult members shall serve
four (4) year terms. The Commission may enlist
the help and support of public and parochial 6th -
6th graders as needed or high school students to
assist the Commission in the performance of
Commissioner functions and activities.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
