AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE POSITION CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLAN
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE (FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC)
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is a Home Rule Municipality as authorized
and set forth in the Constitution of the State of Illinois and as such, authorized to enact
certain legislation pertaining to its local government affairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois in exercise of its Home
Rule authority as follows:
Section 1: That the current authorized number of firefighter/paramedics be
temporarily increased as follows:
Current Authorized Temporary Total Authorized
Firefighter/Paramedics Increase Firefighters/Paramedics

*position lapses upon the next retirement/resignation/decertification of a current
paramedic.
Section 2: That the current authorized number of firefighters be temporarily increased
as follows:
Current Authorized Temporary Total Authorized
Firefighters Increase Firefighters

**position lapses upon the next retirement/resignation of a current firefighter.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to law.
VOTE: AYES: 6 NAY: 0 ABSENT: 0
